Module 3.7
Resource Plan Development, Capstone Project
Participants will be shown how to develop a resource-planning document that incorporates current economic, environmental and social values. The course consists of online lectures, group forums, quizzes and a capstone project for the Module (DC) & Standard. The culminating assignment will be submitted to the course instructors for assessment. Once the participant has successfully passed the Capstone Project.
Module Objectives
- Identify and described resource abundance through time and space.
- Determine the management activities required to provide for a sustainable supply of consumptive and
non-consumptive goods and services. - Determine the harvest of resources (including timber) within the context of larger, socially defined goals.
- Effectively apply the concept of sustainability and sustained yield.
Module Schedule
This course involves a combination of recorded lectures, readings, assignments and participation in semi-synchronous online discussion forums and synchronous tutorials with instructors and other participants over a week period.
